I, President Michael Newlark of The Democratic States of Synavia, propose the condemnation of Synavia.

Official Resolution

Enact "Condemnation of 'Synavia'"

Resolution SSC#003

Proposed by: President Michael Newlark

Description: Expressing shock, dismay, and appallment at the actions of Synavia under its former government and presidency.

Argument: Over the course of its existence, Synavia has committed many appalling and, in many cases, disgusting acts, a complete list of which follows:
-The murder of President Stethos of Baelgaria
-The establishment of a military base in a neutral state
-The murder of 19 unarmed Ocasian peacekeepers
-The ownership of a nuclear weapon, clearly against SS#007
-Allowing the entire military of Synavia to secede

AWKNOWLEDGING: That Synavia is condemning itself,

BELIEVING: That coming to terms with its past wrongs is the first step to a better future Synavia,

ALLOWING: The Sermo Senate to decide a fitting punishment for Synavia,

The Sermo Senate hereby enacts resolution SSC#003, "Condemnation of 'Synavia'".

The condemnation of your own nation would lead to near-complete disarmament, as that is the fate of the other nations which have been condemned. And honestly, I don't see why you would want to punish your own nation.

I don't think that's fair. The majority - in fact, all, of the bad things happened under Adams' rule. I have done nothing wrong, or, at least, not anywhere as bad as the things Adams did. Deweaponization, I can take that. No voice in the Sermo Senate, I can take that. But I don't deserve to die.

Bomb the entire country to dust, burn their forests and cities and dry their rivers. Then put thousands of tonnes of salt in the soil so nothing will never grow there again. Line up the population in a one big line and shoot them all.

The people of the Sovereign are repulsed by the bloodthirst and psychopathic behaviour of Hippostania. We whole-heartedly agree on executing the population, but burning forests and salting the soils? Why would you even consider that?

Okay. Here's what I think our punishment should be.

-Repayal to Baelgaria
-Incapability of annexation
-No voice in the Sermo Senate (no posting resolutions and no voting)
-Incedental military deweaponization. What that means is that we can continue to have a military to defend ourselves, but any aggressive, unprovoked, or underprovoked actions will constitute a deweaponization.

Yea or nay?

(Voting will not begin until a punishment is agreed upon.)

EDIT: Baelgaria, other than the aforementioned monetary repayal, what else would you like? (Any requests of land, slaves, or killing of anyone shall be regarded as a joke and swiftly forgotten.)

I request the immediate deconstruction and disarmament of long-range aircraft, both offensive and defensive. All SCUD missiles, ICBMs and other similar missile weapons must also be disarmed and deconstructed. These actions will be done by a 3rd Party nation, either Ocasus or another nation. I believe this is a suitable punishment for Synavia, as well as those aforementioned punishments.

No, that doesn't seem fair, as it would be getting rid of most of our military, as 80% of our defense goes to the Air Force. That is necessary for defending our country from nations with stupid, uncreative names (hem ham, Baelgaria and Hippostania). I like the incedental deweaponization.
