Resolution to broadcast international channels in Sermo.
Enact "Broadcast of International Channels within Sermo"
Resolution SS#005
Proposed by: Administrator Darth of Frenzland
Description: To designate a single channel from each nation that may be broadcast throughout the region for all nations to be able to access freely.
Argument:
BELIEVING that Television is the most accessible medium of communication for most nations
NOTING that Sermo is a region dedicated to maintaining and encouraging cultural diversity
BELIEVING that exposing the populace to some international culture will be beneficial in both maintaining that culture and also international relations.
ACKNLOWEDGING that some countries' television industries are a large source of income and that they may not agree with the free access provided by this resolution.
BELIEVING that since the money paid by television users generally goes to the broadcasters in THAT nation and not any other, making the international channels free will not hurt the economy of other nations in any way.
The Sermo Senate hereby enacts resolution #005, "Broadcast of International Channels within Sermo"

The SBC offers a similar service, but, only in Northern Sermo. I support this resolution.

Many have been requesting foreign TV, especially since the rise in popularity of that new plane show "Landing Gear" shown on the VBC. Episodes are late since VBC Sermo is losing funding. We are thus for.

I believe that the Sermo Broadcasting Company is capable of accomplishing this if passed.
I think, since currently the SBC is run out of Ocasus's wallet, that every nation willing to have an regionally broadcast station, will have to pay for it themselves.
Which really isn't much to ask for. Even if it is a high definition station.
