Enact "Ban On Discussion In Voting Threads"

Description: To ban the posting of opinions, arguments, debates, statistics, quotes, or any otherwise leading statements in Voting threads.

Argument:

NOTING that Proposals generally begin with a Discussion thread that lasts several days.

BELIEVING that the time allotted for discussion within a Discussion thread before voting is ample amount of time for all nations of Sermo to state their arguments.

BELIEVING that to post a biased or leading statement in a Voting thread gives unfair advantage to one side where someone may not have read the Discussion thread and thus has an incomplete view of the issue.

The Sermo Senate hereby enacts resolution #004, "Ban On Discussion In Voting Threads."
