Establishment of "Seero" Monetary Union (REVISION ON SS#001)

Good afternoon gentlemen. After heated talks on the establishment of a common currency, "The Seero", it has come to my attention, that the previous issue went misunderstood, leading to it's eventual failing. There has been minconception that the "Seero" was the original currency of Ocasus. When infact, it was the Ocasian Franc. The Seero was established as a monetary union between several Northern Nations (Ocasus, Tornnes, Westmeer, Baclav, and Summland). Now that that has been cleared up, let's move on.

I, Prime Minister of the founding nation of Ocasus, hereby propose we establish a monetary union in nations that are official members of the Regional Government. We believe that, as leading figures and members of Sermo Government, inter-regional and international trade, travel, and tourism would boost. The "Three T's" as you will. The improvement of the "Three T's" will help improve and make things easier, since, it would be as though we are dealing on national levels, and can factor out exchange rates for the majority of things. It would also help out-of-Sermo imports come in to many more countries, and improve products that are prevalent through the region be exported.

Description: Sermo Senate Resolution #007 shall standardize the use of the Seero through all Senatorial nations in Sermo.

Argument:

ACKNOWLEDGING that standardized currency will improve international and regional trade.

ACKNOWLEDGING that the following nations already use the Seero;

- Ateklia
- Baclav
- Baelgaria
- Floozania
- Greater Sermo
- Ocasus
- Summland
- Tornnes
- Westmeer

ACKNOWLEDGING that standardized currency will boost tourism to the region.

BELIEVING that the establishment of monetary unions will ease the way of life for people of the region, visitors, and goods traders (foreign and domestic).

NOTING that some think this will ruin the diversity Sermo has been through so much to get.

NOTING that the "Seero" was not the original currency of Ocasus, and the Ocasian Franc was.

NOTING that the "Seero" was established for "Sermo" and not an individual nation.

BELIEVING that it will not ruin the diversity of the region at all, but, infact will make it easier for all to appreciate one another.

The Sermo Senate hereby enacts resolution #008, "Establishment of "Seero" Union for SS nations."

We strongly support this proposition. Depending on the parlamentary election results that will be received later today, we might even start using Seero by the end of the week.

The Congress of Ordovichia has voted to adopt the Seero immediately, and support the region wide adoption in the upcoming vote, having opposed the SS#001 on the misunderstanding that it called for the adoption of Ocasus's original currency. We believe that the adoption of the Seero will benefit the economy of the entire region, as well as make regional travel more hassle free.

Kyzl has officially adopted the Seero as its national currency and fully supports this proposition.

My currency is currently the Qaia. Am I obligated to change to the Seero?

Baelgaria wholeheartedly supports this resolution. Our previous currency of the Ingot was not holding up well due to its weight. But with the Seero was have a form of currency that is interchangeable hopefully throughout the region.

The Megacorporation of Sekkisi will not be supporting this resolution, it's bad for business.

Considering the lack of information regarding how the creation of the Sermo will affect the economic status of those taking part within it, the Triumvirate has decided to opt out of any Seero-movement as of this time.
