Parliament renames several Hippostanian cities
Parliament of Hippostania has today almost unanimously voted to rename several cities whose names were considered inappropriate, too long or otherwise not good for use. 30 minutes ago the goverment published a list of cities that will be renamed. Re: Parliament renames several Hippostanian cities
I honestly don't see any point in doing this. Other than the names with references to neighboring countries (which isn't a bad thing, really. We have a small town named Blammovale.), the only other reason is names that sound bad. But that's not a problem, either. Think about it. The Seero is the most popular currency in the region, and its name is disgusting. But loads of people use it, Synavia included.
Re: Parliament renames several Hippostanian cities
What's wrong with "Seero"? Sounds alright to me, nothing particularly special but it doesn't need to be anything particularly flashy. Better than having something that sounds more valuable than it really is.

Our currency before the Seero was the Qaia, which is pretty darn cool-sounding.Darth GW7 wrote:What's wrong with "Seero"? "S-ee-row" is better than "G-ay-a"President Newlark wrote:Our currency before the Seero was the Qaia, which is pretty darn cool-sounding.Darth GW7 wrote:What's wrong with "Seero"?
