Who are you? The senate majority leader? I don't think so. There is no rule against posting in a vote thread.

I actually agree that there should be no posting opinions in a voting thread. That is what the discussion thread is for. If people want to make educated decisions in a vote, they will read the corresponding discussion thread for opinions. Posting opinions in a voting thread is unfair.
