Riot Fills Myasterith's City Streets

Earlier today, an unknown Synavian hacked into the Internet connection of Hippostania and Synavia, redirecting most sites to a site looking like this:
Spurred by this, Myasterith has been swamped by angry protesters chanting "Swallows, not hippos!" They demanded that Hippostania retract all control of Synavia as a protectorate.

Rumor has it the riot claimed the lives of 2 of the newly appointed Hi-Sy Police.

Hippostanian Army troops and Protectorate Police have been dispatched to break up the violent protests in Myasterith. We could've handled a peaceful demonstration, but you killed two innocent police officers. We promise that we will find those who are responsible for this act and bring them to justice. Meanwhile, Protectorate Police Cyber Division is on their way to find the criminal who hacked that website.

Next time be more peaceful instead of reckless murdering. As I said, protests are fine as long as they don't turn violent and don't promote hate against other nations or/and people.

In an attempt to quell the revolt, I personally released this message, broadcasted on all radio stations and television channels.

Hello, citizens of Synavia. In light of the riot choking the streets and avenues of Myasterith, I would like to say that your anger is misdirected. The protectoratism of Synavia is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a great virtue. Think of all the good Hippostania can do for our nation! It's large, stable, efficient government will aid ours greatly and save us from falling into turmoil. If you must be angry, do not be angry with Hippostania. Be angry at me, for bringing us into this mess. From the Baelgarian War to the independence of Cordonis to this, I am to blame. I apologize to my country.

Unfortunately, I have been egged a few times since than, but a couple extra showers is a small price to pay for a safe, stable government.

Unfortunately, the announcement did not quiet the riot, instead, it only aggravated it. The revolt has doubled in size and has gotten incredibly violent. The word of the day is that Protectorate Police released a full tank of pure chlorine at the front lines, killing 48 civilians, and judging from the traces in the air, we are inclined to believe that this actually happened. (Of course, there's also the irrefutable evdence of the 48 dead, including several young children.) I released another message today.

Hello Synavia, this is your president speaking - again. I hereby render the previous broadcasted message null and void. The murders of 48 of us participating in the revolt has alerted me that Hippostania will not leave us alone. They will not do us any good. They will not let us even exist as the Republic of Synavia. We will not be Synavia any more. We will be Hippostania, Hippostania and there will be no Synavia. Also, Protectorate Police is now ending these violent protests to prevent further bloodshed, since apparently Synavians are unable control themselves. Martial law imposed in Synavia and curfew is in effect.

Even in the Protectorate, the only authorised riot control agents are non-lethal substances such as tear gas. It must have been used by dissident elements in an attempt to smear the police. Why would they be releasing chlorine, when it would kill them too?

Seriously, stop it. I've said this a hundred times already, Protectorate Police only uses NON-LETHAL weapons to break up protests. Chlorine is not a non-lethal weapon.

Aren't the protectorate police Hippo's men? Synavia, you can't just say they use chlorine. Hippo makes that decision. Or am I missing something and you can decide what other nations do now?

It seems fine aside from the symbol in the middle, that looks like it's the only thing that's making it pop out. Other than that, it's fine .

imo if Hippo can decide that my cabinet is responsible for blowing up a plane in a terrorist attack, this can slide.
